We have a range of properties available, from our high support flats in Worksop to more independent flats and houses spread across Bassetlaw.
- Single rooms in our Worksop office offer 24h on-site support for our most vulnerable young people. Each en-suite room contains a double bed, storage cupboards and a personal fridge. The building has a shared kitchen and living room for use by all residents.
- A number of self-contained flats, also at our Worksop office, combine the availability of on-site support with a greater degree of independence. Each unit has its own bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living area.
- Community properties in Worksop, Retford and Harworth combine independent living with regular support visits from New Roots staff. While a small number are shared properties, most are occupied by one of our young people, as the final step towards independence. All have 1 or 2 bedrooms and may also include a garden.
Each of our properties contains a fridge, cooker, washing machine and bed. They will also be fitted with carpets and curtains, ready for a young person’s arrival. A Welcome Pack for new tenants contains essentials like bedding, pots and pans, cutlery, glasses, mugs, a kettle and a toaster.
Depending on individual circumstances, New Roots staff will support young people to make an application for Housing Benefit. Many of our service users are eligible for full Housing Benefit, in which case you will only be required to pay for your utilities, or a contribution towards those in our shared properties.
