Events and home activities for Easter

With the Easter holidays coming up you might be looking for some fun activities that you can do in and around Worksop and Retford.

The Easter school holidays in Bassetlaw are from the 2nd April – the 13th April, so there’s two weeks of events and activities to enjoy.

 

Here’s a list of some upcoming events, suitable for families and people of all ages, with information on where they are and how much they cost. Get involved and have some fun!

 

Idle Valley, Retford

Idle Valley Reserve in Retford are hosting nature trail hunts from the 31st March until the 15th April.

Pick up a form from the reception desk, and follow the nature trail as you collect your clues and win a prize at the end when you have completed your form!

This event is free, but a suggested £1 donation per child is welcomed. For more info, see their website.

 

 

 

Worksop Library, Worksop

Worksop library are hosting some free Easter crafts on the 31st March between 11am and 12pm.

This event is suitable for children, free for library members and there is no need to book. The library is situated on Memorial Avenue in Worksop.

Clumber Park, Worksop

Clumber Park in Worksop are having a Cadbury Easter Egg hunt this year, from Friday 30th March until Monday 2nd April.

Follow the clues around the park to find the hidden chocolate prizes that the Easter bunny has left behind!

The hunt costs £3 per child taking part, and booking is not needed.

Normal admission fees do apply to Clumber Park for non-national trust members, which is £4 per adult and £2 per child.

Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear is needed for this outdoor event. For more information visit the website.

 

Clumber Park are also hosting an Easter Sports week, where you can get involved in a range of challenges and games such as the egg and spoon race!

This event is free, but normal admission prices to Clumber Park do apply. Again, this is £4 per adult and £2 per child.

As well as these events in Worksop and Retford, there is also plenty of fun to be had at home to celebrate the Easter holidays.
