‘It’s not OK’ campaign is drawing to a close

It’s been more than 12 months since the ‘It’s not OK’ campaign was started across North Notthinghamshire with the aim of raising awareness of child sexual exploitation.

With the combined efforts of the Retford post-16 centre, New Roots Housing and the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty towards Children) the campaign has been massively successful over the past year.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness of this compex crime, help young people understand and recognise when it is happening, support parents, provide information and empower people to report things.

Everyone who has been involved in the campaign is now invited to attend a special celebration event on Friday 24th August at Retford Post-16 centre on the 24th August.

We will be so delighted to welcome back a number of crucial campaign supporters to share their experiences and to celebrate the year we’ve had.

This campaign would not have been possible without the seamless collaboration between local professionals, families and young people, so now it’s time to celebrate!

There is limited parking at Retford Post-16 Centre, however additional on-street parking is available in the surrounding area.

Light refreshments will be provided from 9.30am for a 10am start.
